Call for Expressions of Interest

Role: Website Specialist

Location: Fort Albany First Nation and other locations as may be agreed

About the Role:

Fort Albany First Nation is seeking expressions of interest from creative and experienced candidates interested in serving as a Website Specialist who can assist with designing, maintaining, and updating the Nation’s website. This role will ensure that online platforms reflect community values, provide timely information, and enhance communication with members.

This role is not a staff position. All work will be performed on an as-needed basis, as agreed between Fort Albany First Nation and the contractor(s).

Key Services:

●       Design, manage, and update the Fort Albany First Nation website.

●       Ensure accessibility, security, and user-friendly navigation.

●       Upload community announcements, reports, and updates regularly.

●       Work with leadership to showcase programs, services, and cultural initiatives online.

●       Integrate digital tools and social media connections for better outreach.

●       Other services commonly performed by website specialists as agreed.

Qualifications:

●       A diploma or degree in Web Development, IT, or a related field is recommended.

●       Proven experience with website design and content management systems (CMS).

●       Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and web security best practices.

●       Strong communication and creative design skills.

●       Experience working with Indigenous organizations is an asset.

There is currently no deadline for expressions of interest. Expressions of interest will be considered as they are received, and may be kept on file for future use.

Fort Albany First Nation may request further information, samples of work, an interview, proof of qualifications, and/or references from interested service providers.
