NOW HIRING – SMALL ANIMAL VETERINARY TECHNICIAN
Temiskaming Veterinary Services is looking for a talented and compassionate Small Animal Veterinary Technician to join our team!
THE ROLE
As a Small Animal Veterinary Technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients and outstanding service to our clients. You will work alongside a supportive team of veterinarians and support staff in a well-equipped, modern practice.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist veterinarians in examinations, surgeries, and dental procedures
- Monitor anesthesia and patient vital signs
- Collect and process laboratory samples
- Provide nursing care for hospitalized patients
- Educate clients on pet care and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Ensure a clean, safe, and organized hospital environment
- Participate in after hours patient care and on call responsibilities (shared equally with other technicians)
QUALIFICATIONS
- Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) with the OAVT (Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians) is preferred
- Fluent in French is an asset but not required
- New graduates are welcome to apply – we are willing to train the right candidate!
