Immediate Supervisor: Human Resources and Health & Safety Manager
Schedule: 5-2, 40 hours/week
Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Human Resources and Health & Safety Manager, the Human Resources
Advisor supports all activities related to HR management, primarily in the staffing process. This role
contributes to attracting, selecting, and onboarding talent while participating in various strategic HR
projects.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Attraction, Recruitment, and Retention
• Participate in developing attraction and acquisition strategies to strengthen the employer brand.
• Draft and publish job postings on various platforms.
• Receive and screen applications.
• Conduct initial phone interviews.
• Schedule and participate in interviews with supervisors.
• Perform reference checks.
• Finalize hiring and prepare employment contracts.
• Implement and develop the onboarding plan.
• Ensure follow-up on new employee integration.
• Conduct exit interviews to analyze reasons for departure.
HR Programs and Policies
• Draft and distribute employee communications.
• Inform managers and employees about HR policies (compensation, benefits, working conditions,
labor relations).
• Support managers in applying HR processes.
• Handle administrative tasks (absences, HR data, discipline, etc.)
Organizational Development
• Determine required competencies for each position in collaboration with the HR team.
• Coordinate and deliver HR training sessions.
• Draft job descriptions.
• Promote the company’s mission, vision, and values.
• Implement training follow-ups.
• Participate in coordinating social activities
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS SOUGHT
Qualifications
• Degree in Human Resources Management or Industrial Relations (technical diploma, certificate,
or bachelor’s degree).
• 3 to 5 years of relevant HR experience.
• Member of the CRHA Order (asset).
• Bilingualism (French and English, spoken and written).
Technical Skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Knowledge of labor standards (Quebec and Ontario).
• Familiarity with social media and virtual platforms (Zoom, Teams).
• Excellent writing skills.
