Job Summary:

Operate various heavy equipment (backhoe, excavator, loader, dozer, front-end loader, rock truck, compactor, roller) for tasks such as fine grading, finishing, landscaping, sloping, banking, backfilling, ditching, excavating, grading, grubbing, sub-grade work, trenching, material handling, slope grooming, and snow removal.
This full-time role is based in the Timmins, Ontario area.

Duties:
• Operate heavy equipment for construction tasks
• Maintain, clean, and lubricate equipment
• Perform and document daily equipment inspections
• Report hazards and repair issues
• Attach and secure special equipment attachments
• Assist with general labour as needed
• Wear required PPE at all times
• Complete daily reports (hours, hazards)
• Follow all policies, procedures, and health & safety laws

Requirements:
• Heavy Equipment Operator Trade Certification preferred
• Valid Class A/1 driver’s license and air brake (Z) endorsement are assets
• 3–5 years’ heavy equipment experience
• Ability to read blueprints, maps, drawings, specifications
• Physically fit (able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly)
• Basic math and measurement skills
• Strong observation, detail, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Able to work independently and in teams
• Fluent in English (speak, read, write)

• Frequent proximity to heavy equipment and vehicles
• Physically demanding (lifting, stamina required)
