Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare the greenhouse to receive the next harvest.
• Keep the greenhouse clean and safe.
• Check the watering and fertilization of the plants.
• Picking tomatoes and other tasks related to plant maintenance and harvesting. (lower and tie down the plants, remove the leaves and weeds)
• Collect data for compiling growth tracking reports.
• Monitor and report the presence of insects, apply biocontrols and verify the effectiveness of the applications.
• Remove the plants at the end of the harvest and clean the greenhouse.
• Perform any other task assigned by the chief technician or the general manager.

Requirements:

• Good physical condition
• Ability to work at heights
• Good knowledge of French and English
• Ability to work alone or in a team
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Ability to multitask and work with minimal supervision

Responsabilitées de l'emploi:

• Préparer la serre pour recevoir la prochaine production.
• Garder la serre de production propre et sécuritaire
• Vérifier l'arrosage et la fertilisation des plants
• Faire la cueillette des tomates et autres tâches reliées à la maintenance et récolte des plants ( descendre et attacher les plants, enlever les feuilles et les mauvaises herbres
• Cueillir des données pour la compilation des suivis de croissance.
• Surveiller et signaler la présence d'insectes, appliquer les biocontrôles et vérifier l'efficacité des applications.
• Sortir les plants à la fin de la récolte et nettoyer la serre.
• Faire toute autre tâche assignée par la technicienne en chef ou la directrice générale

Exigences:

• Bonne condition physique
• Capacité de travailler en hauteur
• Bonne connaissance du français et de l'anglais
• Capacité de travailler seul ou en équipe
• Bonnes habiletés en communication et en organisation
• Capacité à effectuer plusieurs tâches à la fois et à travailler avec un minimum de supervision
