CSD Electrical & Instrumentation Ltd. is a growing electrical, instrumentation, and automation contractor based in Matheson, Ontario. With over 15 years of industry experience, we deliver high-quality construction, maintenance, and service work across power generation, mining, pulp and paper, sawmills, and residential, commercial, and industrial sectors throughout Canada.

We are also an Authorized Generac, Briggs and Stratton and Champion Service Dealers, serving the Cochrane District. We provide comprehensive generator parts sales, service, maintenance, and installation solutions for residential through industrial applications.

Position Overview

We are currently seeking a reliable and hardworking General Labourer to support our electrical and industrial projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, working outdoors, and being part of a skilled trades team. The successful candidate will assist with job site setup, material handling, basic installation tasks, and general support for electricians and technicians. This position offers exposure to industrial, commercial, and residential projects and may lead to apprenticeship opportunities for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

-Assist electricians and instrumentation technicians on job sites

- Load, unload, and transport tools, materials, and equipment

-Perform basic tasks such as trenching, pulling cable, mounting supports, and site preparation

-Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

-Follow company safety policies and site-specific safety requirements

-Support generator installations, maintenance, and service work

-Travel to job sites as required, including out-of-town work

Qualifications

-Previous construction or labour experience is an asset

-Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

-Physically fit and able to perform manual labour

-Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions

-Ability to work at heights and in industrial environments

-Safety-minded with the ability to follow instructions

-Valid Ontario driver’s license and reliable transportation is required
