The Corporation of the Town of Kirkland Lake is seeking a
EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT
Temporary Maternity Leave (Up to 18 Months) / Full-Time / Non-Union

Position Overview:
• Under supervision of the Director of Public Works, the Executive Assistant provides comprehensive administrative support to the Director, Managers, and Supervisors of the Public Works Department. This non-union position demands a high degree of confidentiality, sound judgment, professionalism, and an understanding public sector operations.
• Hours of work: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
• Compensation: $70,616 to $82,617 per annum (to commensurate with experience).
• Reason: Leave of Absence – Maternity Leave

Minimum Qualifications:
• Completion of a two-year post-secondary Office Administration program.
• General knowledge of municipal government processes, including budgeting, reporting, and confidentiality practices.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and familiarity with database and financial software (e.g., VADIM, Fleet Harmony).
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly.
• Proven ability to maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated keyboarding speed of at least 60 words per minute.
• Valid Class “G” driver’s license.
• Professional demeanor with exceptional interpersonal and public relations skills.
• Ability to remain composed and effective under pressure.
• Clear criminal record check.
