YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Mine Maintenance Supervisor, you will be part of the Mobile Maintenance Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

• Reading and interpreting blueprints and welding process specifications;
• Maintaining all equipment in a reliable, safe, operating condition accomplished through testing, accurate reporting of equipment deficiencies, timely inspections, preventative maintenance service and quality repair of equipment in accordance with work plans and maintenance schedules;
• Repairing, servicing and reconditioning equipment as per industry design specifications requirements by adhering to Detour Lake Mine design standards;
• Identifying spare part requirements to maintain equipment design performance and availability for operations;
• Remaining up to date of all relevant legal and legislative requirements ensuring compliance;
• Maintain GET on buckets/ dippers to enhance performance and productivity;
• Maintain winter blades, dozer blades, and assorted buckets to ensure maximum availability;
• Properly follow Company’s policies and the Occupational Health & Safety Regulations for safe working procedures and environment;
• Maintain a safe, clean and efficient work area.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

• Valid Inter-Provincial (Red Seal) Welder trade certificate;
• Minimum four years’ related experience, with three years’ experience welding or mechanical maintaining on mobile equipment and parts;
• Experience in the mining industry is an asset;
• Working knowledge of mobile equipment implement hardware installation;
• Ability to work at heights, be exposed to the elements in both outdoor/indoor environments;
• Able to lift a maximum of 50lbs and use heavy tooling;
• Knowledge and experience operation various welding equipment for positioning purposes;
• Working knowledge of torquing tools and basic hand tools;
• Experience working with a 0-8 ton Crane would be considered an asset
• Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office Suite applications especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.

Your Work Schedule:

• Schedule: 14/14 schedule at our Detour Lake Mine;
• Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides transportation to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
