Tasks and Responsibilities
This role will support Keepers of the Circle’s Education and Training Team and our Communication Lead in developing digital content to help promote various training programs, updating the organization's website and strengthening the organization’s overall brand reputation and identity. Keepers of the Circle designs and delivers various skills development programs, including a culturally rooted green construction training program 'Amik Wigiwamikewen'. This is the main project that this role will work on, helping develop an interactive website that will host the course.
Amik Wigiwamikewen will be an inclusive training program that features Indigenous women, Two Spirited people, and other underrepresented groups in the trades. The curriculum will include interactive content and educational videos, designed to expand pathways into green and healthy building, support skill development, and help support safe and more inclusive work environments within the skilled trades.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with creating a sitemap that showcases core and secondary pages, maps out user flow, and help develop content details for each page
Support with website maintenance and updating website pages, ensuring a cohesive and professional look that is aligned with our branding
Create organization-wide and project-specific branded templates (social media graphics, posters, presentation) to support with promotion and partnership activities
Support with creating instructional guides around branding materials for internal and external stakeholders
Support with capturing video and digital content for social media posts
Assist with web coding when needed and help troubleshoot technical problems
Assist with web coding to develop backend website framework and features
Qualifications
Web design experience
Familiar with all social media platforms, Canva, or Adobe Suite
Detail-oriented
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task to meet deadlines
