Compensation & Benefits Information
· Rate of pay: $19.65 per hour

Job Summary:
Quality
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Summer Student for our Quality department to join our team in supporting Quality and Patient Safety initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity for a student interested in healthcare, quality improvement, and people-centred care to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic hospital environment.
The successful candidate will work collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams to support key organizational priorities, including emergency code management, patient flow, and patient experience.
Foundation
The Blanche River Health Foundation plays a vital role in ensuring patients in our community have access to the equipment and care they need, close to home. As a Summer Student, you will support the Foundation’s day-to-day administrative operations, including data entry, donor records, and general office tasks that keep everything running smoothly.
You will also jump in to support fundraising, community engagement, and the Foundation’s marketing and public relations efforts—assisting with events, creating and scheduling social media content, promoting campaigns, and supporting donor relations.
This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment where you’ll gain real-world experience in administration, fundraising, marketing, and communications, while contributing to work that directly impacts patient care in Kirkland Lake, Englehart, and surrounding communities.
Human Resources
The Clerical Assistant – Human Resources provides essential administrative and clerical support to the HR department, ensuring smooth daily operations and efficient handling of employee-related processes. This role will assist with maintaining personnel records & preparing HR documents for the Manager, Human Resources, Recruitment Specialist, Labour Relations Specialist, Wellness & Volunteer Coordinator, and the Professional Development Coordinator. The position will also schedule meetings as requested and processes confidential information.
Qualifications:
· Be between 15-30 years of age, at the start of the funded position.
· Be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or someone to whom Refugee Status has been granted/conferred.
· Must have a valid SIN
