Reporting to the Manager, Risk, Safety and Security, the Program Assistant will provide administrative support to the Manager of Risk, Safety and Security and the Training and Workforce Development Division by assisting in the coordination, development, implementation, delivery, evaluation, and follow-up of courses, brokered services, special projects, and sponsored and employer-based training programs.
What you will be doing:
Develop and promote course and program promotional materials through various media;
- Prepare course notifications and register students in courses and programs;
- Process all documentation related to budgets, staff reports, purchase requisitions and academic documentation (course outlines, synopses, departmental policies, timetables, and correspondence to instructor /instructors);
- Access and use MIS systems for various financial look-ups and student record inquiries;
- Ensure program integrity through effective management of synopses/course outlines each academic year;
- Compile statistical data required for departmental reports;
- Liaise with partners, community partners and other colleges on issues related to programs, courses or initiatives;
- Advise students and new, part-time instructors on existing program policies and routine procedures; and
- Process and distribute quality assurance surveys and needs analysis, when required.

What you will need to be considered:
- Two (2) year Diploma in Office Administration or an equivalent/related field of study; and
- Minimum of two (2) years' related work experience.
The successful candidate will be organized and have experience with Microsoft Word and Excel, as well as MIS and databases.
