North Claybelt Community Futures Development Corporation (CFDC) is a community-based, not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs, businesses, and economic development throughout the North Claybelt region. Through business financing, advisory services, and community development initiatives, we help businesses start, grow, and succeed.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Investment Fund Coordinator to join our team through the Northern Ontario Heritage Fund Corporation (NOHFC) Workforce Development Program. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in business lending, finance, economic development, and client services while working alongside experienced professionals.
Position Summary
The Investment Fund Coordinator provides administrative and financial support to North Claybelt's Investment Fund operations. Working closely with the Business Advisor, Finance Department, and Executive Director, the successful candidate will assist with loan administration, portfolio maintenance, financial reporting, client services, and investment fund operations and marketing while developing valuable skills in commercial lending and financial administration.
Key Responsibilities
•Assist with client intake by responding to inquiries and collecting requireddocumentation.
•Maintain accurate digital and physical client files while ensuring compliance withorganizational policies and PIPEDA requirements.
•Support the administration and maintenance of North Claybelt's investment fundportfolio.
•Assist the Business Advisor with loan administration, loan renewals, and preparation ofclient files for review.
•Process loan payments and maintain accurate financial records.
•Assist with bank reconciliations, bookkeeping activities, and other financialadministration tasks related to the Investment Fund.
•Prepare internal reports, funder reports, insurance reports, and credit reporting(Equifax).
•Conduct file audits to ensure accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance.
•Assist in the development and promotion of investment fund programs and loanproducts.
•Help coordinate client workshops, training opportunities, and educational resources.
•Perform other duties that support the organization's lending, finance, and economicdevelopment activities.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
•Postsecondary diploma or degree in Business, Commerce, Finance, Accounting, OfficeAdministration, Economics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of educationand experience.
•Experience in an administrative, financial, bookkeeping, or customer service role isconsidered an asset.
•Knowledge of bookkeeping principles or financial recordkeeping is considered an asset.
•An interest in business lending, finance, entrepreneurship, or economic development,with a willingness to learn loan administration processes.
•Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel,Outlook), and the ability to learn internal loan management and accounting software.
•Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
•Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
•Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work independently, and contribute effectively within ateam environment.
•Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handlingsensitive information.
•Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
