The Still Point Therapy and Wellness | Timmins, Ontario

The Still Point Therapy and Wellness is a growing, trauma-focused, attachment-focused counselling and psychotherapy practice offering in-person services in Timmins and virtual services across Ontario to children, youth, and adults.

We are seeking a Registered Social Worker or Registered Psychotherapist to join our team as an Independent Contractor.

This opportunity is ideal for a clinician who values flexibility, autonomy, and meaningful therapeutic work, and who would enjoy building their practice within a supportive professional environment. Contractors have the freedom to shape their own caseload, schedule, and areas of clinical focus, while having access to referrals, practice resources, and professional support along the way.

Evening and/or weekend availability is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will:

• Hold a minimum Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) or Registered Psychotherapist (RP) designation
• Be registered in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) or College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and eligible to practice independently in Ontario
• Maintain appropriate professional liability insurance
• Have experience providing counselling and/or psychotherapy
• Have training or experience in one or more therapeutic approaches
• Demonstrate sound clinical judgment and practice within their professional scope
• Be comfortable managing an independent clinical caseload
• Demonstrate strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
• Be committed to ethical, evidence-informed, client-centred, and culturally responsive practice
• Value ongoing professional learning and development

Clinical Experience & Areas of Interest

We welcome clinicians who enjoy working with children, youth, and/or adults. Experience supporting clients with concerns such as trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, stress, emotional regulation, relationships, self-esteem, and life transitions is welcome.

Training or experience in CBT, DBT, ACT, solution-focused therapy, EMDR, IFS, somatic approaches, attachment-based therapy, trauma-focused approaches, or other therapeutic modalities is considered an asset.

We are also interested in clinicians who bring areas of specialization that may complement and expand the services currently offered through the practice.
