Location: Anson General Hospital, Iroquois Falls ON | Contract: Temporary Part-Time

Support Services team members play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, residents, staff, and visitors across the MICs Group of Health Services. Reporting to the Support Services Supervisor or Program Leader, these positions support essential non-clinical operations within hospital and long-term care settings.

Housekeeping & Laundry Aides are responsible for cleaning and sanitizing patient rooms, washrooms, common areas, and clinical spaces in accordance with infection prevention standards and environmental cleaning protocols. In addition, they perform a full range of laundering duties, including collecting, washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and garments; handling soiled materials appropriately; operating industrial laundry equipment; and maintaining organized linen storage areas while adhering to infection control and workplace safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 diploma or equivalent

• Experience in a healthcare, restaurant, or hospitality setting is considered an asset

• Ministry of Labour Worker Health & Safety Awareness Training Certificate

• Ability to work a flexible schedule within a 7-day/week operation

• Good attendance record and adherence to confidentiality requirements

• Bilingualism (English/French) is considered an asset

• A clear criminal record check will be required by the successful candidate as a condition of employment
• WHMIS certification and knowledge of infection control principles

Compensation

• Rate of pay: $25.63 / hour as per the SEIU collective agreement

• Paid benefits and vacation as per the SEIU collective agreement

• Eligibility to enroll in the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP)
