Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This role is vital in creating a positive dining experience and maintaining smooth restaurant operations. Prior experience in food service, hospitality, or hotel settings is preferred, but we welcome enthusiastic individuals eager to learn. The position offers an opportunity to develop strong communication and guest service skills in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage reservations efficiently
• Escort guests to their tables and provide menus
• Manage guest waitlists and communicate wait times effectively
• Handle guest inquiries with professionalism via phone and in person
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host station
• Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service
• Process guest payments using POS systems such as Micros POS accurately
• Assist with special guest requests and accommodate seating preferences when possible
• Uphold hospitality standards to ensure an enjoyable dining experience for all guests

Skills

• Excellent guest services and customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
• Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and clear verbal interaction
• Experience with serving, food service, or restaurant operations preferred
• Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is a plus
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Hospitality or hotel experience is advantageous but not required
• Professional appearance and positive attitude are essential for representing the establishment effectively
