Location : Côté Gold Mine in Ontario  (Agnico Eagle Mines )

• ASSET: Experience with production drills and surface or underground mining equipment.

Under the supervision of the mechanic foreman, the Heavy Equipment Technician performs mechanical, pneumatic and electrical maintenance and repair work on underground heavy equipment and other mobile equipment in our clients underground facilities and/or in the field.

Duties:

• Ensure preventive maintenance on heavy vehicles
• Determine the nature of defects and failures and make recommendations on the type and extent of repairs to be carried ou
• Perform repair reports with the identifications of the breakages causes
• Adjust, repair and/or replace defective parts in respect of the highest quality standards, using hand and power tools
• Test repaired equipment to ensure repairs meet requirements
• Read plans and diagrams to determine how to proceed
• Validate and follow up on parts availability
• Any other related tasks

Skills:

• Mechanical trade certification or equivalent experience
• Red seal certification is an asset
• Underground Common Core Certification (asset)

• 3+ years working on Heavy Underground Mining Equipment
  
  

  This position is offered at a facility located outside of Quebec. Due to the nature of the duties involving an English-speaking clientele, an intermediate level of English proficiency is required.
