The Corporation of the Town of Hearst is accepting applications for Educator Assistant positions to create a pool of qualified candidates for future openings. This posting will remain open, and applicants may be contacted as positions become available.
Job Summary
The Day Care Educator Assistant supports Early Childhood Educators in all aspects of childcare and development. This role involves assisting in the daily care, supervision, and educational activities of children in a safe and supportive environment, fostering positive interactions, and contributing to a healthy learning atmosphere.
Qualifications
- Secondary School Diploma
- Current Standard First Aid Certification or ability to obtain
- Bilingualism is required (French/English)
- Previous experience supervising children, in a childcare setting is preferred
- Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC)
- Ability to follow pre-established procedures
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
Hours of Work
- Hours of work vary based on operational needs during regular opening hours.
