ANNOUNCES A VACANCY FOR A:

 

#26-46: One (1) Health Services Supervisor - Full Time - 15 Months Contract

 

The Cochrane Temiskaming Resource Centre (CTRC) is seeking a contract Full-Time Health Services Supervisor to join its team in Timmins. CTRC is a regional Developmental Services provider offering programs across the Districts of Temiskaming and Cochrane including coastal communities along James and Hudson Bay.

 

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with the Director of Client Services to provide a comprehensive health care program, as well as supports and services to individuals with developmental disabilities. The successful candidate will also assist with the training of caregivers, families, and community agencies, as required. The Health Services Supervisor will provide a range of clinical services, including support, supervision, and guidance to the Centre's employees on occupational health matters, while also supporting the allied health professionals associated with the Centre.

 

Contract employees are those hired for a specific period of time to cover for employees on an approved leave of absence, vacation or pregnancy/parental leave, and for projects of a non-recurring nature.

 

The employer or the contract employee may end the contract at any time by providing 1 week of notice.

 

Hours of Work: 75 hours

Wages: $45.33 to $49.81 per hour

Proposed Starting Date: September 21st, 2026

4% vacation paid twice annual and 10% in lieu of benefits paid each pay period

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Current Registered Nurse or Registered Practical Nurse certification with the College of Nurses of Ontario; good knowledge of professional theory and practice and ability to apply knowledge to residential nursing. Preferably two years graduate nurse experience related to the duties to be performed. A sincere interest and ability to work with individuals who have a developmental disability and behavioural problems/disorders. Ability to meet the public and to provide counsel to staff and client’s relatives as required; good written and verbal communication skills and demonstrate the ability to offer telephone advice. Able to work independently and as a member of a multi disciplinary team. A valid driver’s licence and use of a car are necessary. Ability to operate a computer and various software programs. Technical Skills: Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certificate, Competence in immunization administration as ordered by a qualified physician
