Position Summary
The Customer Service Representative serves as the first point of contact for patrons at the Archie Dillon Sportsplex Pool, providing friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable service. This role is responsible for handling registrations, rentals, and point-of-sale transactions using recreation management software, while ensuring accurate cash handling and maintaining a safe, organized front desk environment. The representative supports daily operations by addressing public inquiries, promoting programs, and assisting with administrative and emergency procedures as required.
Duties
• Deliver courteous and professional customer service to the public
• Process program registrations, facility rentals, and admissions using recreation and point-of-sale systems
• Handle cash transactions and balance daily cash reports accurately
• Respond to inquiries in person and by phone; relay messages appropriately
• Maintain accurate information on programs, schedules, and services
• Keep the reception area clean, organized, and well-stocked with materials
• Follow established procedures for cash security, record keeping, and reporting
• Support emergency response procedures, including first aid and facility evacuations
• Perform administrative and operational tasks as assigned by supervisory staff
Qualifications
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Experience with cash handling and basic financial reconciliation
• Ability to use computer systems and learn recreation software
• Knowledge of aquatic programs (or ability to acquire quickly)
• Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C certification
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities
• Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently in a public-facing environment
• Current and clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector if 18 years of age or older
