POSITION SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Bail Bed Coordinator, the Program Assistant will provide administrative and program support to the Bail Bed Program. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The Program Assistant performs a wide variety of clerical and office support functions to assist program operations, staff coordination, and client services. The role also includes event planning support and maintaining accurate office systems.
REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma required; post-secondary diploma in Business Administration or a related field is an asset.
- Minimum 1-2 years of related administrative experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under tight deadlines.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Comfortable using general office equipment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrates strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience working with Indigenous organizations or within a social services setting is an asset.
- Knowledge and respect of Indigenous culture, values, and traditions is preferred.
