Position Summary:
We are accepting applications for Registered Nurses (RN) throughout the Timmins and District Hospital. Our hospital is currently accepting resumes for the following departments: Emergency, Critical Care Unit (ICU), Integrated Medical, Maternal Child Program (Obstetrics and Pediatrics), Mental Health, Surgical and Eating Disorder.
You will be joining a team that provides exceptional patient and family-driven care, in a supportive, trauma-informed and culturally safe manner. We are looking for passionate, driven individuals to join us in our Mission; Providing Exemplary Care to Northerners.
Position Requirements:
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing (BsCN) and current Certificate of Registration and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse.
- Current ACLS or BCLS certification preferred.
- Be able to apply knowledge, skills, judgment and competencies required for safe, independent and inter-disciplinary practice by meeting all nursing practice standards, as outlined by the College of Nurses of Ontario and related professional associations.
- Superior understanding and application of current Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) measures.
- Must be well organized and able to effectively adapt to the requirements of an acute health care setting.
- Must possess excellent clinical assessment and care planning skills.
- Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work effectively and collaboratively as a member of the multidisciplinary team in addition to independently.
- Employment history must demonstrate regular attendance at work.
- Bilingualism (French/English) would be considered an asset.
- Current and clear police record check, including vulnerable sectors check.
- Compliance with the current immunization policies at the Timmins and District Hospital (COVID-19 and others) or documented medical contraindication and/or grounds pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
