Work Schedule:  5-5-4 rotation, 12-hour shifts. Although this is the established schedule, the company reserves the right to modify it as needed to meet operational requirements.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Northern Sun Mining currently has an exciting opportunity for a Mill/Crusher Labourer to join our Operations team. Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the milling operations by performing various tasks that ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of the mill while adhering to safety and quality standards. Please note that this is not a camp-based position.  

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform various physical tasks as required, such as lifting, moving, and positioning materials.
• Assist the Crusher Operator in the crushing plant as directed.
• Assist mill operators with routine checks and adjustments to maintain production efficiency.
• Operate basic machinery and tools under supervision and perform minor maintenance tasks to ensure optimal equipment performance.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the mill and crushing plant.
• Work in compliance with prescribed company policies and procedures.
• Be proactive with company safety initiatives.
• Additional duties as required. 

QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma or equivalent. 
• Previous experience in an industrial environment is highly regarded. 
• Basic Mill Process Operator Common Core is an asset. 
• Valid driver’s license. 
• Capable of performing physical tasks. 
• Ability to work safely and effectively in a labour-intensive team environment as well as independently. 
• Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and follow instructions accurately.
