Maurice Welding is looking for a Machinist to join our team in Hearst. a full-time position with benefits, flexible hours, competitive salary rates and access to a pension plan.

Machinist Job Responsibilities:

• Operates and maintains precision machine with it's attachments. 
• Reviews drawings, instructions, blueprints or samples to achieve accurate parts.
• Utilize micrometers (i.d. and o.d.) caliper and dial indicators to ensure precise machining and measurements for final product specifications.
• Selects appropriate machine and settings for a given task.
• Plans proper sequence of tasks to complete the assignment.
• Maintains inventory or completed products.
• Deliver a quality product.
• Identifies need for and performs machine maintenance and minor repairs.
• Maintains a safe and clean workstation.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

Machinist Qualifications Skills: 

• Excellent coordination and mechanical skills
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety
• Solid written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in math
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

• 2-3 years of experience or willingness to enroll in an apprenticeship
• Experience working with machine tools or mechanical assembly
• Working knowledge of safety protocols.
