Fuel Truck Operator

Alamos Gold’s Young-Davidson is a low-cost, long-life operation and one of Canada’s largest underground gold mines. It is located near the town of Matachewan centrally located between Timmins, Kirkland Lake, North Bay and Sudbury, Ontario. The 2020 completion of a highly automated, lower mine expansion has resulted in Young-Davidson increasing production and generating strong free cash flow. With a large Mineral Reserve base, it will serve as Alamos’ foundation for growth for many years to come. Reporting to the Supervisor, Mobile Maintenance the successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the underground fuel and lube truck.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Safely operate the underground fuel tube truck(s);
• Fuel underground equipment;
• Minor services including greasing and topping up oils on various pieces of underground equipment;
• Filter changes, minor equipment repairs or inspections;
• Support underground operations and the Mobile Maintenance team; and
• Any other duties as directed by the Supervisor, Mobile Maintenance.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

• Accreditation of basic common core would be considered an asset;
• Mechanical experience would be considered an asset;
• Self – motivated, ability to work alone;
• Strong Safety focus;
• 3 years plus underground experience; and
• Preferred candidates will be proficient in the operation of boom trucks.

Schedule: 7 days on/7 days off, 10 scheduled hours
