Position Summary:
Constance Lake First Nation is seeking a Health and Wellness Director to provide senior leadership, oversight, planning, and accountability for CLFN’s health, wellness, medical, prevention, intervention, aftercare, and community support services. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Health and Wellness Director supports coordinated, culturally appropriate, community-focused services that promote the physical, mental, emotional, cultural, and social well-being of Constance Lake First Nation members.

Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in health administration, nursing, social work, public health or a related field.
•Master’s degree in a related field is an asset.
•Current registration in good standing with a regulatory college is an asset.
•8-12 years of work experience in health or social services, including a minimum of 5 years inmanagement
•Experience in budget planning and staff management
•Experience in First nations, public or local government health environment
•Experience in crisis or emergency response leadership is an asset

Duties and Responsibilities
•Design and direct the continuum of care, including prevention, harm reduction, treatment, aftercare,transitional support, and community reintegration.
•Develop multi-year health and wellness plans aligned with CLFN priorities, community needs, policies,funding requirements, and service priorities.
•Direct the sector’s response to substance use, mental health emergencies, crisis response, recovery, andtransitional housing initiatives.
•Identify service gaps and recommend program improvements or expansion.
•Oversee operations, service delivery, quality assurance, accreditation, privacy, client informationmanagement, reporting, budgets, funding agreements, and financial compliance.
•Supervise and support health and wellness managers and staff, including hiring, performancemanagement, staff development, succession planning, job evaluation, and health and safety processes.
•Promote a safe, supportive, trauma-informed work environment for staff responding to crisis, grief,trauma, and complex community needs.
•Represent CLFN at delegated health-related meetings, committees, and regional or provincial tables.
•Coordinate interdepartmental responses involving family services, youth supports, cultural supports,housing, infrastructure, and community wellness.
•Advise the Executive Director on health and wellness concerns, risks, service needs, policies, programs,and recommended solutions.
•Perform other related duties as assigned.
