Summary
The Community Services Program Analyst, reporting to the Director of Community Development and Services, will support client-focused programs and initiatives. This role involves managing a variety of projects, conducting data analysis, and performing risk assessments. The analyst will provide qualitative, statistical, and methodological consultation and support for housing and homelessness planning, evaluation, reporting, and policy activities.
Key Responsibilities of Position
- Develops and maintains program and data systems to monitor local community needs and solutions with respect to client Services.
- Develops, collects, inputs and analyses program data, and ensures retention of key historical data.
- Provides program analysis, interpretation and recommendations to Director for development of strategies.
- Provides statistical and analytical support, through ongoing reviews and monitoring of local statistics, monitors existing community resource and initiates and reviews external reports.
- Gathers, analyses, summarizes and reports on financial and service data information for internal and external purposes.
- Monitors program utilization rates, reviews data and prepares written reports with evaluation and recommendations.
- Liaises with supervisor, manager, staff, community agencies, and key stakeholders to determine needs and develop implementation and evaluation plans.
- Conducts primary and secondary research relevant to departmental needs, analyses data and presents findings in written reports to various audiences.
- Prepares related graphs and reports for senior management, board, committee, and ministry use.
- Works closely with managers and staff coordinating data from computer system for municipal and provincial reports.
- Other duties as required.

Job Requirements
- Demonstrated understanding on municipal government operations and its relationships with community partners, other municipalities and Provincial and Federal governments
Education & Experience
- Successful completion of a three-year college diploma in Business Administration or related field, with focus on data collection and analysis or a combination of education/experience acceptable to the employer
- Two years’ experience in statistical data collection, data analysis, research and evaluation.
